IwanttothankallthevastnumbersofCongreandformermemberswhoareherewhoservedwithme.Icouldn’thavedonemostofthegoodthingswedidwithout’em,andthey’renotreoibleforanyofthemistakesImade.

ThislibrarytellsthestoryofAmericaattheendofthe20thcentury,ofadramaticallydifferenttimeinthewayweworkedandlived.WemovedoutoftheColdWarintoanageofinterdependencewithnewpoibilitiesandnewdangers.Wemovedoutofaninformation--Imean,anindustrialeconomyintoaninformation-ageeconomy.WemovedoutofaperiodwhenwewereoeedwithovercomingthelegacyofslaveryanddiscriminationagaitAfrican-Americatoapointwherewewerechallengedtodealwithanexplosionofpersity,ofpeoplefromallracesandethnicgrouandreligiofromaroundtheworld,andwehadtochangetheroleofgovernmenttodealwiththat.
Thatwholestoryishere,in80milliondocuments,21millione-mails--twoofthemmine--(laughter)--2millionphotographs,and80,000artifacts.Intheinterestsofopeeandpublicacce,weareaskingmorethan100,000ofthesedocumentstobeopenedearlybeforethelawrequires.

Nowthislibrary,ofcourse,isprimarilyaboutmypresidency.IwanttosayaecialwordofthankstoAlGoreandtoTierfortheindieablecontributionthattheymade.AndItoldAltodaythatthislibrarywonaninternationalenvironmentalaward,eventhoughit’sgotalotofgla.Becauseofsolarpanelsandalotofotherimprovements,wecuttheenergyusagehereby34percent.SoAl,thanksfortheiiration,andI’mstilltryingtomeasureuptothechallengeyousetformesolongago.
Ibelievethejobofapresidentistounderstandandexplainthetimeinwhichheserves,tosetforthavisionofwhereweneedtogoandastrategyofhowtogetthere,andthentopursueitwithallhismindandheart--bendingonlyinthefaceoferrorornewcircumstancesandthecriseswhichareunforeseen,aproblemthataffectsallofus.
WhenIbecamepresidenttheworldwasanewandverydifferentplace,asIsaid.AndIthoughtabouthowweoughttoconfrontit.Americahastwogreatdominantstrandsofpoliticalthought;we’rerepresenteduphereonthisstage:coervatism,whichatitsverybestdrawslinesthatshouldnotbecroed;andprogreivism,whichatitsverybestbreaksdownbarriersthatarenolongerneededorshouldneverhavebeenerectedinthefirstplace.
Itseemedtomethatin1992weneededtodobothtoprepareAmericaforthe21stcentury--tobemorecoervativeinthingslikeerasingthedeficitandpayingdownthedebt,andpreventingcrimeandpunishingcriminals,andprotectingandsuortingfamilies,andenforcingthingslikechildsuortlaws,andreformingthemilitarytomeetthenewchallengesofthe21stcentury.Andweneededtobemoreprogreiveincreatinggoodjo,reducingpoverty,increasingthequalityofpubliceducation,openingthedoorsofcollegetoall,increasingaccetohealthcare,investingmoreinscienceandtechnology,andbuildingnewallianceswithourformeradversaries,andworkingforpeaceacrotheworldandpeaceinAmerica,acroallthelinesthatpideus.
NowwhenIproposedtodoboth,wesaidthatallofthemwerecoistentwiththegreatAmericanvaluesofoortunity,reoibilityandcommunity.Welabeledthearoach"NewDemocrat."Itthenbecameknownas"theThirdWay."Itwas--asitwasembracedbyprogreivepartiesacrotheworld.ButIlikethesloganwehadwaybackin1992,"puttingpeoplefirst,"becauseintheend,Ialwayskeptscorebyasimplemeasure:WereordinarypeoplebetteroffwhenIstoedthanwhenIstarted?
Igrewupinthepre-televisionage,inafamilyofuneducatedbutsmart,hard-working,caringstorytellers.Theytaughtmethateveryonehasastory.Andthatmadepoliticsinteelypersonaltome.Itwasaboutgivingpeoplebetterstories.That’swhyIaskedthosesixpeopletotalkheretoday.WhenIthinkoftheFamilyLeaveLaw,IthinkofthatgoodmanwhobroughthisdyingdaughtertoseemeintheWhiteHouseonaSundaymorning,andwhograedmeasIwalkedawayandsaid,"ThetimeIgottotakeofffromworkwasthemostimportanttimeinmylife."
Ithinkofpeoplelikethatfinewomanwhoworkedherselfoutofwelfareandnowruherownbusine.IrememberthefirstwomanIevertalkedtowhowentfromwelfaretowork.Isaid,"What’sthebestthingaboutit?"Shesaid,"Whenmyboygoestoschoolandtheysay,’Whatdoesyourmamadoforaliving,’hecangiveanawer."Thosearethethingsthatmakepoliticsrealtome,athomeandaroundtheworld.

Finally,letmesaythis.Quiteapartfromallthedetails,thethingIwantmostisforpeoplewhocometothislibrary,whetherthey’reRepublicaorDemocrats,liberalsorcoervatives,toseethatpublicserviceisnobleandimportant,thatthechoicesanddecisioleadersmakeaffectthelivesofmillioofAmericaandpeopleallacrotheworld.
IwantyoungpeopletowanttoseenotonlywhatIdidwithmylife,buttoseewhattheycoulddowiththeirlives.Becausethisismostlythestoryofwhatwe,thepeople,candowhenweworktogether.
Yes,thislibraryisthesymbolofabridge,abridgetothe21stcentury.It’sbeencalledoneofthegreatachievementsofthenewage,andaBritishmagazinesaiditlookedlikeaglorifiedhousetrailer.AndIthought,well,that’saboutme,youknow?I’malittleredandalittleblue.

Ibelieveourmiioninthisnewcenturyisclear.Forgoodorill,weliveinaninterdependentworld.Wecan’tescapeeachother.Andwhilewehavetofightourenemies,wecan’tpoiblykill,jailoroccupyallofthem.Therefore,wehavetoendourlivesbuildingaglobalcommunityandanAmericancommunityofsharedreoibilities,sharedvalues,sharedbenefits.
Whatarethosevalues?AndIwanttosaythis.Thisisimportant.Idon’twanttobetoopoliticalhere,butitbothersmewhenAmericagetsaspidedasitwas.Ioncesaidtoafriendofmine,aboutthreedaysbeforetheelection--Iheardalltheseterriblethings--Isaid,"Youknow,amItheonlypersonintheentireUnitedStatesofAmericawholikesbothGeorgeW.BushandJohnKerry,whobelievesthey’rebothgoodpeople,whobelievestheybothloveourcountryandtheyjustseetheworlddifferently?"

尊敬的校长、各位领导、各位朋友们、同事们:
大家好!我想在座的各位都知道我,也都了解我,我在这个学校和大家一起搭档工作有快九年了,前几年还是学校的活跃份子,经常参加学校的文艺演出。我叫,出生于年,大学所学的专业是金融,年再次考取本科学历,毕业于技术学院,读的是思想政治教育专业。现在任校工会干部一职。
因为现在的岗位是另外增设的,工作量不多,再就是本人单身,平常一个人生活,事情不多,应该有足够的时间和精力守着辛勤忙工作,所以我积极参加到了这次的图书馆馆长位置竞选。
记得这已是我再次报名,虽然两年前因为没有人竞争而被换掉,但我依然朝着对梦想、朝着远大理想再度起航,加入到这次岗位竞选的行列中。没有怨恨的青春才会了无遗憾,就如山岗那轮静静的满月。路遥万里风雨倘能与共,纵一生一世问谁有倦容,如果是个错误,为什么他会错得如此美丽。弱水三千,希望我们能取一瓢饮,一盏清茗,浅吟清风,今天我调整好心态,带着自信又来了。
图书馆是很重要也是很有意义的工作,我希望能慢慢把我们的图书馆扩大,办得更有特色有风格,让学生都喜欢上学习,把读书当成一种乐趣,愿意把时间和精力用在学习上。
首先,我讲讲我的初步工作目标,有两个方面:
一是做好计划,及时总结。充分发挥图书馆的作用,加强学生素质教育,提升学生人文素养;与时俱进,搞好信息服务,广泛听取征集意见,健全读者服务体系,为学校的教育教学和学生学习服务,使我们的工作更贴心,并可以把大量图书资料开发应用于学校教学左右。
二是本着改革创新的精神,重新审视以往的工作,怎么克服困难,进一步去安排,按照学校指示精神,抓好工作, 为适应学校发展需要的图书馆而奋斗。使图书馆业务工作做到规范化、自动化、现代化,创新和改革,追求工作效率,是我们图书馆的具体要求。我准备做到这么六点:
1、加强员工安全责任意识,做好“五防”工作,并定期组织员工技术应用的培训。2、充分利用空间,优化完善各种标语、装饰、设施装备,保持图书馆的桌椅书架整洁卫生,环境舒适,安静清雅。3、做到流水帐目清楚,节约开支。4、重视馆内业务管理和人员安排,规范各项规章制度。5、走访书店及相关图书部门,协商赞助,给新书藏书进行调配、修补和剔除,节省成本费用。6、充分利用计算机进行书名,分类的传阅和借阅登记,以及制订落实电子图书錧计划。
缘份是本书,翻得不经意会错过,读得太认真会泪流……
如果能竞选成功,接下来,我想继续聊一聊参与竞争图书馆馆长职务的理由:
第一,思想政治素质不错。在思想上能不断的提高政治觉悟,积极响应党中央和学校关于学习雷锋精神的号召,以实际行动落实和弘扬雷锋精神,积极向党组织靠拢;能够在生活和工作上严格要求自已,持之以恒,不懈学习业务知识。热爱图书管理工作,这是做好工作的基础。
第二,工作经验有。通过不断的学习更新知识,已拥有会计证、教师证、国家人力资源管理师资格证、全国礼仪训练师资格证。从事过多种类型多种岗位的工作,总结了丰富的工作经验。普通话广东话流利,有着较好的计算机应用基础,能熟练操作OFFICE系统办公室软件、Word文档,Ecel电子表格等。
第三、 工作业绩好。具有一定的组织协调能力,较好的履行了自已的职责,能较好较快重视质量的完成各项工作任务。有较强的组织和全局意识,有责任心。
就在任团委干事期间,辛勤的工作得到认可,不仅自已每年参加演出的个人节目获得成功,指导编排学生演出的舞蹈也差不多连续多年获得学校文化艺术节、省部属技工院校文艺汇演优秀节目奖。
团刊《》三期成功出版,检查督促并指导文学社开展各项活动,及时协助做好社团的宣传工作。在团员青年思想政治教育等工作也做过积极贡献。
我心里是这样评价自已的,简单来说是一个大方的人,一个正派老实的人,说话算数,待人真诚,有进取心,多年来坚毅向上的精神不变,正义善良之心依旧。

金秋送爽,十月飘香。在这收获且孕育万物的季节,经过大家的共同努力,我们的图书馆像一位母亲,带着对铁院学子们的期盼,带着博大的爱,向我们敞开了知识的大门。
新图书馆雄伟壮观,站在“她”面前你可以感受到一种庄严的气息。那木刻的象形文字带着一份神秘,似乎在讲述着什么。那层层向前的台阶,仿佛在告诉大家只要不懈的攀登,成功的大门永远会为你敞开。那明亮的玻璃,耀眼的瓷砖,崭新的地板,无不凝结着领导和老师对铁院学子们无限的爱与期望。
大家都明白,读书可以增长知识,提高素质,树立风范。时代文明的脚步一直在向前,作为铁院的一名学子,要铭记“书山有路勤为径,学海无涯苦作舟。”用知识来武装自己,畅游在书的海洋里,培养塑造出铁院那豁达的胸怀,高尚的素质。
虽然我们的校园面积不大,但却人才辈出。有句俗话:“浓缩的都是精华”。我相信铁院是一个成就人才的摇篮。有人把她比作一片圣地,一块纯洁之地,不能容纳粗犷和平凡庸俗的东西。而我们的吵闹声、嬉戏声不文明之举将使她黯然失色,失掉风范。
新的开始标志着:铁院正欣欣向荣的向前行,铁院人将会以另一种姿态迎接挑战。我们是荣幸的,因为我们在未来的两年或三年中能够嗅到那一股清清的书香,能接受她赐予的第一份精神的食粮,通过“她”的关怀,我们一定能超越自我,完善自我。
一桌一椅和每一本图书都是她的毛发,需要大家去爱护,去珍惜。如果我们随意去破坏,那我们还是一名合格的铁院学子吗?一个好的环境可以改变一个人,塑造一个人。“近朱者赤,近墨者黑”。环境的好坏直接影响一个人的未来,它可以使你更加优秀,也可以使你更加庸俗。我们需要的是优秀,足以让我们骄傲,让我们自豪的铁院。所以,我们有义务去爱护她,珍惜她。
曾几何时,有些人读书时,看见一页好的文章就爱不释手了,直到那页成为独自享有的珍藏。如此,还有图片,绘画,为什么非要把好的东西不留着和大家分享呢?图书馆也有自己的制度和章程,既然进来图书馆,就有权利读书,但同样也有义务保护图书。只有大家共同配合,她才能更好的为大家服务。从她身上,我们不仅仅要学的是知识,更重要的是,我们要从她那学会做人,做一个合格的铁院人!
“知识改变命运,成就创造未来。”做为21世纪的建设者,我们要永远记住:有蓝天的博大,就不能让飞翔的翅膀在安逸中退化;有大海的雄壮,就不能让拼搏的勇气在风浪中却步;有远方的呼唤,就不能让寻觅的信念在苦闷中消沉。不要相信宿命,要用行动去迎接挑战。
书香的气息飘溢在铁院的每一个角落,每一位铁院人都能感受到,可以尽情享受。只要我们大家一起去努力,把埋怨变成理解,把委屈变成不屈,把失意改写成冷峻。从一时失意中迸发出一生的激情,从一时的压抑中酝酿出一生的追求,那么,我们的人生也会变的美好。
让我们共同走进知识的海洋之中,以新的姿态迎接挑战,阳光总在风雨后,我们读工会继续以“心系读者终不悔,雅俗共赏甘自累”为宗旨,创造一个优雅的环境,希望所有的读者朋友融合起来,让浓浓书香溢满渭园。
